Croc's Rule at Australia Zoo .......

I thought I'd share this delightful double layout that I did for my most fave scrappy friend last weekend. Martina & I decided to swap photos and try scrapping for each other, well I must say my first attempt was very sad :( I had to admit defeat lol and ask for some different piccies, I knew she'd have some of her little fellow with animals.... was plotting and planning on making use of some of my fabulous Myscrapchick files, so these are the pics I was sent and this is the resulting layout. I'm so stoked that she loves it and can't wait to catch up with her this weekend while she's in town to give them to her :) The Palmtrees are actually my own files but I haven't had a chance to clean up the files to share yet, will try to get around to doing that soon. Until then, CHEERS Kris :)

Anyhooo their sale is on until the end of June, pop in and grab a BARGAIN!!! I know I will be :)

LOS Challenge #3 Entry for Scraps of Us

Well, OMG how lucky was I this time, the challenge was to use at least 3 colours from a pic that was supplied (I chose Pink, Blue & Lime Green) and we had to include 1 handmade tree, 1 handmade bird, and 3 handmade flowers, all I can say is yeeehaaaaaaaaaa Paper Piecing Heaven :)

So here is my entry that was submitted for this current Round, crossing my fingers now for a week or so lol lol

Now for my svg loving friends, the svg's for the paper doll are available for purchase only from MYSCRAPCHICK. Her files rock!!!! but don't despair, there are some for the other bits n pieces on the page lol such as the TREE, the BIRD (made from the bird svg in BLACKOUT function & 2 love hearts which you can just get from your shapes, I made them a bit squished for this project), and the LEAVES for the tree (which I make in 2 different colours & different sizes) adds a bit of variety to your tree lol

:) Enjoy and happy crafting my friends xo Kris

A girl can never have enough Envelope Templates it seems :)

Don't know why exactly, but since trading in my baby bug for the Expression I am totally lovin, yeah that's right, LOVIN being able to make my own envelopes, in every colour of the rainbow too if the fancy takes :)

Here's a screen-shot for you.....

Anyway, here is the latest little mini-envelope pattern I've been playing with. Of course with SCAL you can cut it at any size you like, so doesn't need to be only a mini-envelope. ENJOY my fellow crafters & have a FABULOUS DAY xo Kris

Challenge #2 for LOS Competition on Scraps of Us

This is my recent entry for Challenge #2 on the LOS Competition on Scraps of Us site.

We were all given the same photo to scrap however we wanted. I found this branch file in amongst my collection, here is the link to the BRANCH, now the birdie was kinda cool doing it, I had a generic bird shape, but no wings, so I used this BIRD SHAPE and this **WATER DROPLET as the wings, (**note - use the water droplet as the wing shape but make sure you select BLACKOUT in the properties or you will not get the full solid wing shape) and of course I had to redo the svgs I had, because they all went in the opposite direction to what I wanted, so for anyone that wants it in the opposite direction, here is the BIRD and WATER DROPLET that you will be wanting, oh!!! and the BRANCH! Gosh I hope that made sense!

Anyhooo, I made it through this round, am off to start on Challenge #3 this week woohooo :)

Until next time, take care & enjoy life :) Cheers Kris

*** SPLASH ***

Hi there to all my scrappy crafting friends, hope you are having a fantabulous weekend :)

I felt the need to do a lil bit of scrapping the other night, had to play with my new exciting Expression Machine.... yes yes, I finally relented and bought an Expression from the ever lovely Robyn at Discover Scrapbooking. I know I'm a bit biased as I just adore Robyn and her store, but seriously folks, if ever you are after any of these big ticket items for your crafting, you really should come and see her, her after sales care & assistance is second to none!! I know you can buy these machines new on Ebay direct from the States, but firstly, you get no warranty that way (at all) too risky I think (IMHO) I'm just an old fashioned girl who believes that you "GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR" in this day n age.

Okies, well here is the page I played about with on Wednesday night,

Little Miss Amy enjoying a splash in her paddle pool .... talk about a slack mummy...(September 2007) OMG I seriously need to pull my socks up and get some serious layouts done this year.

Anyhow only have the one file for you this week guys, that would be the water droplet .... get it HERE.

Have a great weekend, catch up again real soon.

Well this is my latest page, an entry for the Legends of Scrap Competition currently running on Scraps of Us site, check it out, lots of fun, never too late to join in, you have until 17th April to get Challenge 1 submitted.

I have used a gorgeous TREE SVG FILE along with a CUTE LITTLE OWL SVG for this page. Done lots of stamping with my favourite flourish stamps and silver ink, title has been cut from SCAL also and the sweet PHOTO CORNER SVG has some gorgeous purple rhinestones added.

Enjoy and happy scrapping gals :) xo Kris

Scrappin weekend ....... with Miss Keely :)

Well I had a very busy scrappy weekend, Keely wanted to escape her brother and sisters for a while and venture into my scrappy world. We went out to DISCOVER SCRAPBOOKING and enjoyed a fabulous class by Jill Geraghty-Groves (fantastic lady) we did some distressing and stitching and inking and painting and had a ball. Must say Keely is hooked big time on the scrapbooking bug. Anyhoo, I completed this layout at the class. Haven't got any pics of my grandparents, so thought this was a fabulous find, Mum, Pop & Nanna Parsons, and all 7 of us kids, amazingly fairly clear after all these years (given this is a scan of a tiny original photo) think it was around 1973.

We then came home, and Keely whipped out her album and we sat and did a page together for her book. This is what we came up with (inspired by our class that day lol) We cut out these gorgeous flowers and popped them all up off the page, and oh those gorgeous flowers, I'm finding it harder and harder to share these with anyone but these are the ever gorgeous batik flowers from Green Tara that Robyn needs to order many more of for me :) LOL LOL LOL I'm totally addicted to them!

Then of course I felt the urge to sit down and scrap a page of Keely for my own album, I love her big blue eyes so love big piccies of her with them enormous peepers lol

Here is what I came up with. Just a dash of hand cutting on this page lol, wee bit of distressing, silver ink (glorious invention)

Now if only I can make it through the week........ come on Friday it's CROP NIGHT woohooooooo if you are in the area and want to come to one of these fabulous crop nights (fortnightly), ring ahead and book a spot, $10pp can't get better than that, we have so much fun there too :)

My gorgeous birthday gift .....

My dear sweet friend, Martina sent me the most amazing birthday present, a totally gorgeous kit for a Kaiser Off the Page Project, the papers are to die for, I sooooooo love these colours. I sat down last night and today and put this one together, sorry guys n gals, NO SVG'S in this project :( They are coming again soon though lol lol

Anyhooo, I chose to do this album for Amy as she is our lil gingernut girl so thought her colourings would work better with the papers. I think it turned out quite well.... here we go now....

This is the front cover off the book, so totally in lurve with all these fabulous Kaiser products.... good thing I just bought a heap of their gorgeous stamps.

And yet more Kaiser stamps, with some fabulous flowers peeking out underneath, they are pastel batik flowers from Green Tara. The rubons are from packs of Creative Cafe stacks of rubons, they're a lil bit expensive to buy as they are in a booklet form, but boy oh boy, do you get a tonne of rubons in them .... definately a SMART BUY in my books!

I just love all these gorgeous butterflies (as does Amy) there is something about butterflies huh!

Yup, definately loving these flowers, must buy MORE!!! lol

This is yet another of the Kaiser stamps, my other love.... flourishes. This is the back of the book, I didn't want to put too much on there, as, well, it's the end!!!! lol

Anyhoo, time to head on off to bed, this lil black duckie is exhausted, it's been a humongous weekend and this chick needs some shut eye .... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Night all, hope you are all keeping well and happy crafting to you :) Cheers Kris xo
