Oh heck, I've been tagged :)

I've been tagged by Samantha and Shirl, who has also awarded me my first ever blog award woohooo Thanks Miss Shirl :) Now, need to answer these questions and then tag 8 others! Here goes...

Q1. What are 8 things you look forward to:

1. Friday night crop night every fortnight :)

2. Escaping 5 very noisy children on said crop nights :)

3. Sleeping in!!!! Every mother's dream isn't it???

4. My first cup of coffee for the day.

5. Winter School Holidays, so I can stay in my nice warm bed til a decent time of the day lol

6. Pay Day.... I mean who doesn't look forward to that?

7. Oh definately Thursdays, my one and only child free day each week, I can scrap wahoooo!

8. Spring ---- I hate this cold weather.....give me Spring every day of the year I'd be stoked!

Q2. What were 8 things you did yesterday:

1. Chatted with Tina all night and scrapped for the LOS Comp.

2. Packed up lunches for kiddies to go to school and an extra for Jared's excursion

3. Paid the bills.

4. Did the washing.

5. Did the grocery shopping.

7. Helped my girlfriend out for a few hours.

8. Went to bed early, was sooooooo cold lol

Q3. What are the 8 things you wish you could do:

1. Stay up late (I miss my night owl days)

2. Have more hours in a day!!!

3. Have more patience.

4. Add a 2nd level to the house, I miss having my craftroom :(

5. Get my kids to respect their belongings would be way up there on this list!!!

6. Catch up with Mum & Dad more often.

7. Get more scrapbooking done.

8. Go back to Decaf(cos it's so much better for me) but hey there is no way on this planet that I'm gonna go thru those awful withdrawal headaches again.

1. My Best Friends Girl ..... OMG Laughed my bum off :)

What's been happening here......

Well not a whole heck of a lot this weekend, kids have totally driven me to the brink of insanity this weekend, my delightful Master 11 has almost made me want to have myself committed to a nice safe softly padded cell somewhere :(

Thank goodness for friends is all I can say. My dearest friend Martina (Tina) always seems to manage to lift me out of those dark places, for that I thank her immensely xo

So I decided to have a bit of a play with one of her gorgeous little girl's piccies yesterday and made this for her.

A sweet card for a very Sweet Friend :) You know who you are lol

I found this amazingly gorgeous file recently on Nancy's Blog and decided to have a crack at it today to make a very sweet card for my very sweet friend. I think it turned out really nice and am busting at the seams to have a go at some more cardmaking. So off I go to create lol. Hope you all had a great long weekend xo Kris

Croc's Rule at Australia Zoo .......

I thought I'd share this delightful double layout that I did for my most fave scrappy friend last weekend. Martina & I decided to swap photos and try scrapping for each other, well I must say my first attempt was very sad :( I had to admit defeat lol and ask for some different piccies, I knew she'd have some of her little fellow with animals.... was plotting and planning on making use of some of my fabulous Myscrapchick files, so these are the pics I was sent and this is the resulting layout. I'm so stoked that she loves it and can't wait to catch up with her this weekend while she's in town to give them to her :) The Palmtrees are actually my own files but I haven't had a chance to clean up the files to share yet, will try to get around to doing that soon. Until then, CHEERS Kris :)

LOS Challenge #3 Entry for Scraps of Us

Well, OMG how lucky was I this time, the challenge was to use at least 3 colours from a pic that was supplied (I chose Pink, Blue & Lime Green) and we had to include 1 handmade tree, 1 handmade bird, and 3 handmade flowers, all I can say is yeeehaaaaaaaaaa Paper Piecing Heaven :)

So here is my entry that was submitted for this current Round, crossing my fingers now for a week or so lol lol


Now for my svg loving friends, the svg's for the paper doll are available for purchase only from MYSCRAPCHICK. Her files rock!!!! but don't despair, there are some for the other bits n pieces on the page lol such as the TREE, the BIRD (made from the bird svg in BLACKOUT function & 2 love hearts which you can just get from your shapes, I made them a bit squished for this project), and the LEAVES for the tree (which I make in 2 different colours & different sizes) adds a bit of variety to your tree lol

A girl can never have enough Envelope Templates it seems :)

Don't know why exactly, but since trading in my baby bug for the Expression I am totally lovin, yeah that's right, LOVIN being able to make my own envelopes, in every colour of the rainbow too if the fancy takes :)

Anyway, here is the latest little mini-envelope pattern I've been playing with. Of course with SCAL you can cut it at any size you like, so doesn't need to be only a mini-envelope. ENJOY my fellow crafters & have a FABULOUS DAY xo Kris

Challenge #2 for LOS Competition on Scraps of Us

This is my recent entry for Challenge #2 on the LOS Competition on Scraps of Us site.

We were all given the same photo to scrap however we wanted. I found this branch file in amongst my collection, here is the link to the BRANCH, now the birdie was kinda cool doing it, I had a generic bird shape, but no wings, so I used this BIRD SHAPE and this **WATER DROPLET as the wings, (**note - use the water droplet as the wing shape but make sure you select BLACKOUT in the properties or you will not get the full solid wing shape) and of course I had to redo the svgs I had, because they all went in the opposite direction to what I wanted, so for anyone that wants it in the opposite direction, here is the BIRD and WATER DROPLET that you will be wanting, oh!!! and the BRANCH! Gosh I hope that made sense!




Anyhooo, I made it through this round, am off to start on Challenge #3 this week woohooo :)
