Victorian Bushfire Appeal, Australia ...... Digi Scrappers check this out...

Stumbled across this blog today, thought I'd share the link with you all, they have compiled the Spirit of Summer - Charity Collaboration for the Victorian Bushfire Appeal, this set looks absolutely fantabulous!!!! For a mere donation of $5 and email the lovely girls your receipt from the Salvation Army or Red Cross, they will send you the kit and if you donate $10 or more they will not only send you this humongous digital kit, but will also send you a Quick Page Album kit as well.

I really think this is a fantastic idea, and I'm so glad I stumbled onto this blog today. Please consider donating to this more than worthy cause, and in the process bag yourself a fantastic treat :)

Check out their blog HERE and see the gorgeous pics, beautiful Aussie wildlife, stunning papers etc etc etc.

Thanks for taking the time to read and see if you can help these devastated Australian communities by making a small donation :) xo Kris

Ellie........ The Chicken Wrangler lol lol lol lol

OMG what can I say! These pics just crack me up everytime I see them, thought it was about time I put them on a page. This is my lovely little Ellen when she was 2 yo, man o man, the girl was a cack this day running feral through the vege garden, most determined to catch that chicken!

I'm surprised the chooks were still laying after this, it was truly hilarious to watch.

So anyway here is the page, the title was done with Ink and Bella Chipboard, the grass, chickens, and sun are from Myscrapchick. Check her site out, she has fabulous files, and loads of new ones added too, and all at very reasonable prices! Mix em up, plenty to choose from! :) Thanks for looking, Cheers Kris..... have a great weekend :)

Who doesn't love Flutterbys aka Butterflies?

Butterflies would have to be one of the most beautiful creatures on this planet, I absolutely adore them, and love to see them when they decide to bless me with their presence.

Here are a set of 3 Butterflies that I've loaded up to share :) Hope you like them. Cheers Kris

What a HOOT .....

Well I finally got around to actually doing this layout of Miss Ellen, it's a cracker of a photo that I caught when she was about 1 or 2 years old, she looked like an Owl with the rings of curls around her lil peepers, so thought it was only fitting to scrap it with a cute hoot owl.

The svg pattern for this has already been listed on here for you, see previous post re the Owl.

Anyway, I had a bit of fun with alcohol inks and chipboard to get the "HOOT" title done, man o man, I just lurve playing with that stuff :) It's soooooooo much fun.

Have used a flower border that I created, will pop back later to turn that "flower border" into a link for you all, too tired right at this moment to do so *yawn*

Night nite folks :) Take care xo Kris

Upcoming Class at Discover Scrapbooking......

Well I am completely excited and very nervous about the new things happening in my lil ole piece of the world here.

I have been invited to DISCOVER SCRAPBOOKING to help teach some classes with my layouts :) super cool and how excited can a girl get eh?

We are doing some paper piecing layouts and one of my absolute faves is this gorgeous monkey (Xavier Monkey) the entire layout was done using just my Cuttlebug ..... kinda missing the lil guy since graduating to the cricut but hey, plenty of love to go around here.

So here is my Monkeying Around Layout that will be on the March Timetable.

Hoo Hooooooooo

Well guys n gals, had a huge late night last night... or should I say this morning 3am to bed OMG my eyes are feeling like someone just rubbed a handful of sand into them I can tell you, so no great huge creation today either lol.

But I thought I'd share these cute little OWLs with you. I love owls and these guys are definately very cute, they were such a simple pattern to create, just pop a bit of white cardstock/paper behind their eyes to complete them.

Happy crafting and I hope you all enjoy your weekend and take care xo Kris

*** HOW WE CRAFTERS CAN HELP OUT THE VICTIMS OF THE DEVASTATION OF THE VICTORIAN FIRES ***

I've just received an email from ShopandCrop.com.au regarding how we as crafters may be able to help some of these folks restore their memories at a later date.

As we all have read recently and seen splashed all over our television screens, the victims here are many and varied, most have lost their entire homes, whole towns have been razed to the ground, more unfortunate folk have lost everything, their husbands, their wives, their beloved children, their Mother, their Father, their brother, their sister, etc....

Here is a marvellous way we can help out in a way that crafters know how ..... complete an almost finished page, which when the time is appropriate will be forwarded on to the victims of these tragic events of the last week here, allowing them to start rebuilding their own precious memories that have been lost to the fires.

Here is the link to Sarah's Blog for further information. All help here would be greatly appreciated, I myself will be doing as many as I can for this cause. I know I would be completely devastated to lose my photographic memories, let alone the people in my life that are the subject.

Love and Hugs to all the victims of these terrible fires. My heart goes out to all of you, and to Sarah, God Bless you for organising this wonderful event :) Kris

Oh the joy of power blackouts on a hot summers' day :)

Well today is one of the hottest stinkiest days in Australia (my thoughts of it anyway lol) haven't stopped sweating all morning, even sitting still under the fan :( blah I hate this heat!

Anyhooo, the ever so lovely Energy company went kaput and several suburbs here have been without power for the last 2+ hours of this stinky hot day....so what to do, what to do???

Thank god for scrapbooking lol lol lol.... bought myself a little starter stash of Alcohol Inks today from the lovely Robyn at Discover Scrapbooking and decided what better thing to do whilst waiting for fans and computers to come back to life....but to sit on the back patio in the tiny dash of a breeze hahahaha *gosh that's hysterical* should read, blistering heatwave lol, and do a bit of experimenting with these new Tim Holtz Alcohol Inks, man I love the smell of these things PMSL.

Anyways.....dribbling away here like a loon ....must be the heat...

I found a fabulous little Tin I bought a few years ago, lurking in my stash .... sit still long enough in this house and you are destined to be covered in something .... INK GLORIOUS INK today.

I am still most definately in lurve with this stuff, how cool is this

.....whack it straight onto the tin and shazaaaaam something so unique to keep my treasure in lol.

And here is the back, totally different effect yet again, yet the same colours were used....go figure eh...

Oh and what is the ink tin hiding.......

INK silly billy :) ROFPMSL Oh dear, I think the heat has finally gotten to me, thank goodness, cuppa tea time me thinks :) Thanks for looking.... Cheers Kris.... PS have a great scrappy day!

Our Little Mermaid...... Keely :)

Well after converting my lovely friend Martina :) into a fellow SCAL addict lol lol (....think of all the money you can save on carts now matie....more for scrappy supplies) I've spent most of the weekend creating files and not a whole lot of scrapping, oh and having to teach Keely a lil bit of scrapbooking today also, as I had promised and promised and hadn't delivered, so was work work work all day today..... I had made a lovely ARIEL MERMAID SVG for a friend's daughter last night, so decided to do a test cut and voila.... couldn't help myself, I just had to do a layout :) Oh the joy of scrapbooking....sanity restorer!!!!!

Anyhoo, here is the layout, I think ole Ariel turned out quite nicely and then I found some cute lil Jolee's that I had laying in the stash so we got Sebastian and Flounder happening on there too and some very gorgeous lil blingie type shells and OMG starfish....another favourite thing of mine :) Dunno why, they just make me happy :)

Okies, so I'm off for a bit to cook some food for the family...dinner time already OMG can't believe how fast the days go!! Then off to do another layout tonight.....either an owl for Ellen or a Minnie Mouse for Amy, haven't decided which yet, possumly the owl as I haven't had a chance to use it as yet, but...... Minnie is looking rather adorable too, got a new one, she's laying down on her lil tummy, so sweet :)

Til next time....take care and happy crafting :) xo Kris

Can't have the fairytale...may as well have the wall hanging ...

My little girls just love everything Cinderella, so I knocked this one up a few weeks ago for them, just haven't managed to blogify it until now.... I know....slack slack slack.

Anyhooo, here is the wall hanging that I made for Amy & Ellen's Room, they absolutely loooove it :)

Managed to squeeze onto this Kaisercraft shape the gorgeous Carriage with the Horse and Dreams Come True Title for them, then of course, tonnes of Primas and my all time fave items....rhinestone bling :) Enjoy and have a great weekend crafting .... Cheers Kris

My little man Jared....

Well what can I say, I'm a slack mum who loves playing with pink pink and more pink and with 4 girls that is probably a pretty fair statement, but my boy hasn't had too much scrapping done about him, so I popped this one together last night, nothing fancy just straight up layout, this was from 2004 that shows how badly behind in my scrapping I am :(

Anyway, I have just loved this photo for oh so very long, the gorgeous look on his little face just makes me smile at him marvelling over the wonder of such a tiny teensy little frog :)

Well hullo Kitty.....

I had a little play this evening and came up with this cute little kitty cat :)

Sorry about the background, but am a tad bit tired this evening and was just trying to get a pic of the little possum up here for you all. Don't look too closely, I was not very precise when putting this one together, however the pieces are all there and it works, I'm just having a slack night. So anyhoooo here is the Kitty File for anyone who is after it. Enjoy and happy crafting :) Cheers Kris

Our spur of the moment Cyber Crop at Scraps of Us

Well Saturday evening was a blast, Tina and I decided we'd have a 2 layout deadline for the evening, and what the heck, chatter away while we worked, so by 2.30 am I finally had 2 layouts done.

The first one is 'PRECIOUS' Amy when she was a mere 15 minutes or so old

These are some of the files that I used in this layout, Elephant, Precious and Hearts Border.

Click on the words to get the svg files for them.

Okies Layout Number 2....suitably titled "Princess Diva" is all about Miss Ellen on xmas Day moments before she lapsed into a Diva Tirade, it was just precious NOT!!!!!

I have used a Princess Diva Border, basic circles, brackets, photo corner and the bird files on this layout.

Once again, click on the words to get the svg files for these cutting files. I hope you can use them and they make your scrapping day a little brighter :) Thanks for looking....Feel free to leave a comment....Cheers Kris :)
